The Accreditation Process and Programs

The NAAB accreditation process provides objective evidence that an organization operates at a high organizational, legal, and technical level.

NAAB accredits organizations by verifying their technical competence and assessing their quality management systems based on recognized industry standards.

The accreditation process begins with the customer’s submittal of an application, applicable fees, and documentation cited in the relevant NAAB accreditation criteria.

The NAAB accreditation officer partners with each customer throughout the accreditation process, beginning with reviewing the submitted data and the requested scope of accreditation.

Once the data has been reviewed and determined to comply with the applicable criteria, NAAB matches an assessment team, comprising the quality system, technical, and subject matter experts, to the requested accreditation scope. The assessors conduct an on-site assessment and develop an assessment report.

After satisfying NAAB accreditation requirements and demonstrating technical competence, the customer receives an accreditation certificate.

NAAB bases its programs on internationally recognized standards to ensure worldwide acceptance of your accreditation.

NAAB has developed the accreditation criteria to provide all interested parties with guidelines for implementing the applicable standards referenced in the accreditation criteria. The criteria were developed following public hearings conducted by the NAAB Accreditation Committee.
